The Oromo Bible Society (OBiS) is an organization established May 6, 2020, in Ethiopia, registered at the Oromia Regional government to address the acute need of the Oromo Scriptures in Ethiopia and beyond by scaling up its availability and distributions. It also publishes and print other relevant spiritual books for distribution.
Founders Statement of Declaration.
Here after the fifty member’s founders, we establish the Oromo Bible Society, for the Mission of our Lord Jesus Christ, following the footsteps of the great pioneers of the Oromo Bible translators and publishers, to make it available for Oromo speaking Christians and others, in Ethiopia and beyond. Glory be to God the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
